Body Shop body butter collection and review!

Hey everyone!

So in today's post I'm going to be talking to you about Body Shop body butters! I have 6 of them and I'm going to be going through each scent. These body butters are very creamy and moisturising, which is great if you suffer from dry skin like me! It claims to moisturise the skin for 24 hours, which it definitely does! I normally apply this after I've had a shower as I feel like it moisturises my skin the best in that way. The texture of these are really nice, they aren't sticky at all and leave the skin feeling very soft and smooth. These dry very quickly which is also great, as I hate when you have to wait forever for it to dry. They have a great selection of scents and I love the packaging of these, as it has the scent on the front so you can easily tell which one is which. You can apply this butter anywhere on the body so it's not limited to one area, but I wouldn't use it for the face as it's probably too thick. The tub costs £13 for 200ml, but I always get them cheaper at outlets as they are discounted, and sometimes they come in sets too. I go to the outlet in Portsmouth Gunwharf quays if you are wondering, so if you are there definitely check out the body shop it's amazing! I saved around 50% off my last purchase which is brilliant!

The first body butter that I ever purchased from the body shop is the strawberry one. I love the smell of this as it literally smells like a pot of strawberries which is my favourite fruit! It is made with cold-pressed strawberry seed oil, which gives it that amazing strawberry scent! The texture of this one is a little bit different to the other that I own as it's a little bit harder, so you do have to work it into the skin a little bit more.

The next one is the raspberry body butter. I also love the smell of this one! Again this smells exactly like raspberries as it contains cold-pressed raspberry seed oil from Chile. The texture of this one is a little bit more smooth and creamy than the strawberry one, which makes it a bit easier to apply to the skin. They also do a raspberry body scrub which has recently come out which I really want to try, as I've heard a lot of good things about it!

The next one is the pink grapefruit body butter which has got to be one of my favourites out of the 6 that I have! It is made with cold-pressed pink grapefruit seed oil which gives it it's refreshing cirrus scent! The texture of this one is the runniest out of the 6, which I actually like as it's really easy to apply and I find it dries the fastest. I have the grapefruit shower gel too which also smells amazing, so these go together really well!

The next one is the blueberry body butter. I recently purchased this at gunwharf quays in a set with the passion fruit one, which I got for £11.60, which is a bargain! It is made with cold-pressed blueberry seed oil from America, and each pot contains the oil from at least 500 blueberries! The scent of this isn't as strong as the others so if you don't really like strong scents this one might be for you!

The next one is the papaya body butter. This one also smells absolutely amazing! This is another one of my favourite scents because when I put it on I can't keep smelling myself! It's really exotic and refreshing, and smells just like papaya, and contains cold-pressed papaya seed oil from Kenya. Again it has a really nice thick creamy texture.

The last one I have to talk about is the passion fruit body butter, and again, I love this one! It is made with cold pressed passion fruit oil from Brazil. This is a very mild scent so it isn't overpowering in any way, so it's great if you want something fruity but not too strong. Again the texture is really nice and creamy.

I absolutely love all of these body butters and I would definitely recommend them!

My Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Collection and Review!

Hey guys!

So today I'm going to be talking about makeup geek eyeshadows! If you don't know what makeup geek is, it's a makeup range created by a beauty guru on YouTube called Marlena. Here is her YouTube channel:
http://m.youtube.com/user/MakeupGeekTV
They have eyeshadows, pigments, lipsticks and they also carry other brands too. They have really affordable international shipping so it's great as I live in the UK. They are $5.99/£3.54 per eyeshadow which is really affordable considering they are the same quality as a MAC eyeshadow! I have 4 of their pigments which I've recentley received which I'm going to be reviewing soon!
http://www.makeupgeek.com

I have all of my eyeshadows in a z palette which can be purchased on either the makeup geek website or on Amazon. The palette fits 27 eyeshadows. Before I go through each one, I'm just going to say that these eyeshadows are amazing! They're really pigmented and blendable. They also have a range of colours to choose from.

1: White lies is a pure white matte. It's a great highlight colour if you are fair like me!
2: Ice queen is a frosty shimmery white, which again is a great highlight colour.
3: Vanilla bean is a light cream colour that has a peachy beige undertone to it, and has a slight shimmer to it but has is almost matte. Its a great highlight and blending shade.
4: Crème brulee is a medium sand colour with a soft matte finish. It's a really nice transition shade.
5: Cocoa bear is a matte reddish brown, which is one of my favourite colours! It's such a lovely crease colour and will suit many different skin tones.
6: Country girl is a shimmery pink brown. It's a really pretty crease colour.
7: Brown sugar is a warm shimmery copper brown colour which again great for the crease!

8: Bling is a slighty frosted warm ivory which is great lid colour and highlight shade.
9: Shimma shimma is a metallic champagne with a pink undertone to it. This is another one of my favourites as it looks really pretty as a lid colour! I have a backup for when this one runs out as it's nearly all gone!
10: Latte is a matte medium brown shade which is a great crease colour or transition shade.
11: Pretentious is a metallic bronze colour which is very similar urban decays smog from the first naked palette! Again really pretty in the crease and great for a smokey eye!
12: Glamorous is a shimmery bronze gold shade that looks great on the lids.
13: Goddess is a metallic pale copper which is really vibrant and again looks amazing as a lid colour!
14: Mocha is a deep matte brown that is great for deepening the outer v!

15: A back up of shimma shimma.
16: Purley naked is a light shimmery tan colour that is a great transition or blending shade.
17: Frappe is a medium maple matte brown which is a good crease and transition colour.
18: Moondust is a metallic silver taupe which is great colour for the lids to create a smokey eye.
19: Grapite is a light grey with flecks of silver with a blue undertone. I would use it for either the lids or the crease.
20: Slealth is a matte true grey which a good colour to use for the crease.
21: Bada-bing is a deep brown with flecks of gold, which I love using for the outer v.

22: Cinderella is a pale shimmery pink which looks great on the lids.
23: Homecoming is a medium brown with gold shimmer, which is another nice colour for the lids.
24: Hipster is a dark sand and light taupe tan with slight shimmer which is a great crease colour.
25: Mercury is a metallic medium silver which is a nice colour for the lids.
26: Galaxy is a metallic gunmetal colour which is great for the outer v.
27: Corrupt is an intense matte black with a very subtle sparkle. This black is the most pigmented black you will ever see! You don't need much at all and it's perfect for a smokey eye!

Overall these eyeshadows are amazing and definatley worth purchasing, and I really want to try some of the brighter colours! Stay tuned for my review of the makeup geek pigments!

Nyx Butter Lipstick Review!

Hey everyone!

So in today's post I'm going to be talking about the new butter lipsticks from nyx cosmetics! I love nyx products as they're really affordable but also great quality. If you're in the UK you can purchase these on Amazon, but whilst I was on the makeup geek website I saw them on there and decided to purchase them! https://www.makeupgeek.com

Here are some swatches of the lipsticks!

The finish of these lipsticks are as the name suggests, buttery and creamy. They go on really nicely, are easy to apply and are really pigmenged. They have a great colour selection, but I have heard the lighter shades aren't as nice as the brighter colours. These lipsticks will last a while, but as they're creamy they do come of if you eat or drink. The only thing I dislike about these lipsticks is that the packaging is a big cheap.

The first one I'm going to talk about is Liquorice. It's a deep plummy red with a purple undertone. I think this will be a great colour for Autumn and winter! It is quite daring so if you aren't used to wearing bold colours this won't be for you. I would wear this with either simple winged eyeliner or a gold smokey eye!

The next one is big cherry, it's a cool red with a pink undertone. This is a classic red that would suit a wide varitey of skin tones. If you love red lips you'll love this shade! I would pair this with a lip liner to make it last a bit longer, as without one I feel it would fade a lot quicker. I would definitely recommend this one, I think it's my favourite out of the five!

This one is called sweet tart, it's a warm toned deep pink shade, which will suit many different skin tones and is really wearable. This is a great colour for the spring a summer as it's bright and vibrant! This is a really pretty colour and if your looking for a more wearable bright pink I would go for this one!

This one is called Taffy, which is cool toned medium pink colour. Again this shade is great for the spring and summer! It's not as wearable as sweet tart but it's still a really pretty shade. I do think this will suit a lot of different people!

The last one is called Bit of honey, and it's a light warm nude shade. This colour is the only one that doesn't really suit me as it's too light for my natural lip colour. It's still a nice colour but I think it's a bit too nude for me. I would probably mix this with another lipstick/lip gloss to make it more wearable.

Overall I think these lipsticks are worth purchasing, but I would definitely recommend the brighter/darker colours rather than the lighter ones as I don't think they're as good. Hope you enjoyed this review and stay tuned for more!

My first MAC lipsticks!

Hey guys!

So in this post I'm going to be talking about my first ever MAC products that I've recentley purchased! I'm a newbie when it comes to MAC. I've wanted to try a lot of their products for some time, but I've been kind of putting off buying anything as it is so expensive! Also the amount of different products they sell is kind of overwhelming. I decided to try out some of the lipsticks as I've heard they're amazing and have a great variety of shades and finishes to choose from! The lipsticks I bought are rebel, russian red and girl about town. They are £15 each and I purchased them off their website:
http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk

The first one I'm going to talk about is rebel. Rebel is a satin finish, described as a midtonal cream plum. This lipstick is a great colour for autumn as it's quite dark. It looks a bit scary looking at it just in the tube, but once it goes on its a lot lighter and more pink, so don't be put off by first impressions! It's a really pretty shade and I would definatley recommend this if you're looking for something a bit different. The satin finish is really nice as it's not as drying as the matte finish, the only thing is you need a lip liner with this lipstick as it can bleed. Apparentley this shade looks different on everyone depending on their skin tone. I think this suites everyone from light to dark!

The next one is russian red. Russian red is a matte, described as an intense blue-ish red. This is my favourite out of the three! It's such an amazing shade of red which makes your teeth look whiter due to the blue undertone. As it is matte it lasts for ages, I wore this whilst eating and drinking, and it hardly faded at all! It does get a little bit drying after a while but that doesn't bother me so much. If you're looking for a classic red that lasts for ages, then this is the one for you! I think this would look great on everyone no matter what skin tone you are.

The last lipstick is girl about town. Girl about town is an amplified finish, described as a bright blue fuchsia. This is such a pretty pink colour which is great for spring and summer! It's not too bright that its overpowering, its just a really nice wearable bright pink. It's really creamy on the lips so it feels really comfortable to wear. I think this is my favourite finish out of the three based on how it feels. The downside to being creamy is that it doesn't last as long as the other two, I did have to reapply after eating and drinking, but I don't mind too much as the colour is so nice! I think this would suit everyone as well. If you're looking for a bright pink lipstick I would definatley recommend this one!

I'm really pleased with all the shades that I purchased and I will be definatley purchasing more!
